50th anniversary of Heiwa Medic Co.,Ltd

Looking back to the company’s history, in 1946, Mr. Yuo Kurokawa laid the foundation of Takayama Wood Industry Company and started researching on swabs manufacturing.
In 1965, Heiwa Eisai Co.,Ltd (now known as Heiwa Medic) was established and became the first to produce cotton swabs in Japan.
Being inspired by the image of the white cocoon after the silkworm’s growth and the snow cap of Northern Alps mountain, we produce cotton swabs with the hearty sincerity and corporate philosophy as “to shape the softness”.
From the production of hygiene product in the early days, in 2001, we converted Nihon Chyugoku Onkyu into subsidiary to handle medical devices. In 2006 we acquired the license to formally entered into the pharmaceutical business. Then the second and third branch were opened in Shanghai, China in 2001 and in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2007 as an international company.
In October 2015, we are glad to celebrate the company’s 50 years anniversary. In this milestone, we take the pride and self confidence to keep moving forward to another 50 years with new challenges of expanding business to the world.
